Deputy District Attorney in Glenwood Springs, CO

As a District Court Deputy District Attorney, you will have the autonomy and discretion to handle felony cases from their inception to disposition and trial, within guidelines set by the elected District Attorney. You will benefit from the assistance of experienced colleagues and supervisors who will both advise and share in your trial work.
Your duties will include:
• Investigation and study of reports of felony crimes
• Explanation and interpretation of statute
• Research and writing of briefs and motions
• Negotiation and disposition of cases
• Litigation and argument of legal issues
• Trials to court and jury
Required qualifications:
• Legal Degree (LLB or JD)
• License to practice law in Colorado
• Previous litigation work, including jury trials and motions practice
• Demonstrated ability to autonomously handle significant caseload
• Experience in negotiation of dispositions
• Passing of background investigation
• Valid Driver’s License

Victim Witness Assistant at 9th Judicial District Attorney

FT Victim/Witness Asst, Office of the District Attorney. Responsible, organized, detail-oriented self-starter to work 40 hrs. week in Glenwood Springs. Ensure implementation of victims rights as mandated by law. Provide direct services to victims and witnesses of crime. Attend court hearings and trials. Provide Spanish translation as needed. Minimum qualifications: Bilingual preferred. High school graduate or GED Computer experience (Word, Excel, databases). Preferred qualifications: Experience working with victims of crime.
